We Like and Hate
We like and hate. But, we don't LOVE. We need to LOVE. LOVE one another, LOVE God.
We like and hate. But, we don't LOVE. We need to LOVE. LOVE one another, LOVE God.
What the Lord proposes is not freedom from suffering but, what is much more important, freedom from the self.
To fall in love with God is the greatest romance; to seek Him the greatest adventure; to find Him, the greatest human achievement.”
–St. Augustine
Let everyone judge you as they like. Do not make excuses for yourself, it will do you no harm.
For no one comes to Christ and goes back the same way he came! – Fulton Sheen
What was the first rule of our dear Savior’s life? You know it was to do His Father’s will. Well, then, the first end I propose in our daily work is to do the will of God; secondly to do it in the manner He wills; and thirdly, to do it because it is His will. –St. Elizabeth Ann Seton
Christ is our big brother who came to show us the way home.
If you do not worship God, you worship something, and nine times out of ten it will be yourself. You have a duty to worship God, not because he will be imperfect and unhappy if you do not, but because you will be imperfect and unhappy. – Fulton Sheen
He learned obedience from how he suffered. We can only reach God by the Holy Spirit. God's gift to everyone is Heaven. Jesus continues to take away the sins of the world. We live in the power of God. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Have an open heart and goodwill.
Salvation, be with God forever.
Come and see,” Jesus says. “See who I truly am and what I’m doing. See that I know you personally and entirely. See what I have in store for you today.” In your prayer, ask Jesus to open your eyes to see him. Ask him, “Where are you today, Jesus? What do you want me to understand about you? How do you want me to follow you?” And then sit quietly to listen. All day, be alert and watch for his answers.
Step-by-step, this journey takes place in your home, in your place of business, and in your ordinary daily tasks. As you come and see, Jesus will teach and guide you. Perhaps he will help you to see his love for you. Perhaps he will prompt you to repair a strained relationship. Or maybe he will spark a new idea about someone to pray for. The Lord has something new for you every morning. As we begin this new year, come, and you will see what it is.
“Jesus, I’m coming to you today. I want to see where you are today and what you are doing.”
